Sheila Mulkey, CPA

Sheila Mulkey is a Manager at DMJPS CPAs + Advisors in Assurance Services. With nearly 40 years of experience in the accounting industry, she leads audits, reviews, and other attestation engagements. Her depth of technical knowledge, commitment to client service, and broad industry experience, including construction, nonprofit, local government, and employee benefit plans, make her a trusted and valuable resource on the assurance team.

Sheila holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her passion for accounting began in high school after taking an introductory course, and she hasn’t looked back since. Sheila especially enjoys tackling complex financial reporting matters and staying current with implementing new accounting standards.

She is an active member of her community, serving as Treasurer of Rowan Rotary and participating in the Grow in Friendship Team at First Presbyterian Church.

Originally from Elon, NC, Sheila is based in the firm’s Concord office. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, two children, and four grandchildren. You can often find her reading or cheering on her family at sporting events, especially on the golf course, where her son competed at the collegiate level.
