Meredith McGhee, CPA

Meredith McGhee is a Manager at DMJPS CPAs + Advisors in Tax Services, bringing nearly 20 years of experience and deep technical expertise to her role. She focuses on preparing and reviewing individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and exceptional client service.

Meredith holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. Known for her strong technical acumen, attention to detail, and responsive communication style, she excels in tax research and consulting. Accounting felt like a natural path from the start; her father was a CPA, her mother a bookkeeper, and she quickly found herself drawn to the intersection of numbers and tax law during her college coursework.

In addition to her public accounting experience, Meredith also spent time in industry, working in the internal tax department of a North Carolina-based public company. There, she supported IRS examinations and successfully defended the company’s tax positions through research and persuasive writing with IRS appeals agents.

Originally from middle Tennessee, Meredith has called North Carolina home for 30 years and is based in the firm’s Mooresville office. Outside of work, she enjoys a full and active family life with her husband, four young adult children, and their doodle. Their favorite pastimes include making homemade pizza and movie nights. Meredith also loves to travel, having visited Switzerland multiple times to see her twin sister, Italy, and Romania.
