Bob Taylor, CPA

Bob Taylor is a consultant in the Tax Department at DMJPS CPAs + Advisors, based in the firm’s Mooresville office. With more than 45 years of experience in public accounting, Bob works with closely held businesses, including corporations and partnerships, as well as individual tax clients. His expertise also includes attestation services such as audits, reviews, and compilations, and he has served as a peer reviewer. He works across various industries, including professional services, construction, restaurants, nonprofits, and governmental entities.

A North Carolina native, Bob earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from North Carolina State University and has remained dedicated to public accounting ever since. He is a former chairman of the North Carolina Association of CPAs (NCACPA), having also served two terms on its Board of Directors. Bob spent 30 years on the NCACPA Peer Review Committee, including time as Chairman. He was also appointed to a five-year term on the AICPA Council and most recently served as President of the AICPA Benevolent Fund Board of Trustees.

Bob is also deeply committed to his community. He has been an active member of the Henderson Lions Club for over 20 years and a member of the Top of Lake Mooresville Rotary since 2003. He is also a longtime member of Davidson United Methodist Church, where he enjoys singing in the Chancel Choir.

Bob lives in Davidson, North Carolina, with his wife, Donna, who is also a CPA. Their daughter, Rebekah, graduated from NC State’s accounting program, making the Taylors proud supporters of the Wolfpack. Outside of work, Bob enjoys golfing, hiking, staying active, and spending quality time with family and friends over good food and drink.
