Emily Mills, CPA

Emily Mills is a Partner at DMJPS CPAs + Advisors in Assurance Services. Bringing over 20 years of experience in audit, review, compilation, preparation engagements, and tax consulting. Emily provides specialized support to a wide range of clients, with a strong focus on local government units, ABC boards, construction contractors, nonprofits, and small businesses. Her expertise includes consulting, audit preparation, and financial statement drafting.

Emily holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a Master of Accountancy from Western Carolina University. A self-described numbers enthusiast, she was drawn to accounting early on thanks to her love of puzzles and problem-solving. Emily brings a high level of technical knowledge to the team, particularly in government accounting and ABC board engagements, and frequently assists with CAAS-related services.

A lifelong resident of Monroe, Emily works out of the firm’s Monroe office and maintains deep roots in the Union County community. Outside of the office, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family. She and her husband are proud parents of twin boys and a daughter, and as a family, they love camping (in an RV, not a tent!).
