Johnnie Funderburk is a Manager at DMJPS CPAs + Advisors in the Client Accounting and Advisory Services (CAAS) department. With over 50 years of experience in accounting and finance, Johnnie brings deep expertise in full-service client accounting, financial reporting, and personalized support across a variety of industries, including retail, agriculture, and personal service businesses.

Known for her accuracy and thoroughness, Johnnie is a trusted resource for clients seeking guidance on accounting issues, recordkeeping, reconciliations, and tax savings opportunities. Her daily responsibilities include preparing payroll tax filings and reports, 1099s, property tax listings, monthly and year-end adjustments, and income tax returns for businesses, individuals, estates, and trusts.

Johnnie’s interest in accounting began with a love of business math in school. She found problem-solving and reconciling figures challenging and rewarding, an interest that naturally led her into the profession. Decades later, that same passion still drives her commitment to excellent client service.

A lifelong resident of Monroe, North Carolina, Johnnie works in the DMJPS Monroe office. Outside of the office, she enjoys reading, crossword puzzles, relaxing at the beach, spending time with family, and one of her favorite pastimes—working in her yard.
