DMJPS CPAs + Advisors is proud to announce that Mason Barringer, CPA, CFE, Partner and Director of Assurance Services, has been named to the Triad Business Journal’s prestigious 40 Under 40 list, recognizing emerging leaders who are making a meaningful impact in their professions and communities.

Mason leads DMJPS’ Assurance Services practice in a statewide role, overseeing audits, reviews, and attestation engagements across the firm’s 10 North Carolina offices. Appointed Director of Assurance Services in 2024, he provides strategic direction, strengthens firmwide processes, and mentors professionals across service lines—helping ensure consistent quality and outstanding client service.

One of only two individuals in DMJPS history to rise from intern to Partner; Mason’s career reflects steady growth, commitment, and leadership. In addition to holding the Certified Public Accountant designation, he is also a Certified Fraud Examiner, supporting organizations across nonprofit, government, and private industries with fraud detection, prevention, and litigation support services that enhance transparency and trust.

Beyond his professional responsibilities, Mason is deeply involved in civic and professional service. He previously served on the NCACPA Young CPA Cabinet and currently sits on the NCACPA Investment Committee. Locally, he is active in his church, coaches youth sports, and is a dedicated mentor to young professionals within DMJPS and throughout the accounting community.

The Triad Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 program honors leaders under the age of 40 who demonstrate career achievement, community involvement, and leadership potential.
